While 22mm fell on Thursday night into Friday morning, there was still hopes of cricket being played with the sun shining for most of Friday, seeing the squares given a chance to dry out.
That was until the heavens opened once again on Friday night, and after another almost 30mm fell, including 22mm in the space of an hour on Friday evening, any chance of first grade cricket was once again washed away.
It has been a season of interruptions, with the opening rounds of the season cancelled due to COVID before most of November was spent of the sideline with three straight washouts.
The spilt points from the washed-out weekend see Coro increase their lead at the top of the table to seven points over Hanwood with the three points from their clash with Diggers.

Meanwhile, Exies Eagles are now level on points, with Diggers having picked up five points from their washout with Leagues, who remain 14 points outside the top four.
It wasn't all bad news for cricketers on Saturday, as while the turf pitches were deemed too wet for play in second grade as well, the wet weather policy was enacted, which saw the two B grade games moved to the synthetic wickets at Jubilee Oval.
While there is rain on the forecast for next weekend, the outlook has improved over recent days, and Griffith first graders will be hoping they continue to improve as they look to head out to the middle for the first time since the festive break.
