The group will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm starting on January 12 to help young mums in the community connect with one another through their shared experiences.
Headspace Youth Access Worker Katherine Withers said the idea of the group was to fill the gap in service, and create a mum and mums group specifically for mums under 25.
"For young mums it can be especially difficult," Mrs Withers said.
"I myself was a young parent having had my first child at 22 and I was surrounded by women who were 30 plus which made me feel slightly uncomfortable.
"As a young mum you want to be able to relate to people who are in a similar position in life and experiences."

Bubs will have plenty of room to crawl around and toys to play with whilst mums will be able to catch up, enjoy a coffee and chat about all things parenthood.
"It's all all about having a play and getting connected with other young mums in the community," Mrs Withers said.
"These relationships we hope will then grow to exist outside of the weekly group."
And for those mums seeking additional support, Headspace staff will also be on hand.
The group is completely free however registrations are strongly encouraged.
To register please contact Headspace Griffith on 6962 3277 or reserve your spot online here.
