And with only a few days left until Christmas, The Area News went for a drive to show you some of the best displays in town.
Roy Marando at 43 Holmes Crescent has been putting on a Christmas light display for the whole community to enjoy for over 15 years and said he was excited to bring his merry creation to life once more.
The display includes 430 sets of lights and 133,320 individual lightbulbs and is sure to delight and amaze young and old.
"I really enjoy putting up the lights and welcome anyone to come down and enjoy them," Mr Marando said.
"It's an exciting time at Christmas, seeing so many members of the community visit my home and enjoy the lights and display that I have put together for them."

Work on the display started in September, the lights only continuing to expand and get bigger and brighter as the years have progressed.
"The Christmas grotto that I have created in the garage has always been a favourite, there are a range of nice photo opportunities for families to take part in, many of which come back every year and take the same photos to see how their families have changed," Mr Marando said.
On Christmas Eve the display has previously attracted upwards of 3000 locals, with the same if not more expected this year.
"This Christmas Eve we will have a snow machine, bubble streams and even Mrs Santa Clause will be out and about spreading festive cheer and giving out good bags and lollies to kids," Mr Marando said.
For those who are itching to see more, Griffith City Councils Merry Mailbox Map will give you addresses and even a route to follow around Griffith, Yenda, Hanwood, Bilbul, Nericon, Yoogali and Beelbangera for the brightest, boldest and creative light displays around the community.
If you have adorned your home and would like to register your address to be part of the Merry Mailbox Map you can do so here.
