A blue heeler attacked a passerby on Sunday morning, as they went for a walk just outside of Griffith.

The heeler lunged at them, biting them in the arm as they defended themselves. They received several lacerations to the right arm and were taken to Griffith Base Hospital for treatment.
They have since been discharged and sent back home.
The case is now in the hands of Griffith City Council's compliance staff.
A stolen vehicle was found alight on Scenic Hill after being taken mid-last week.
A silver Isuzu ute was stolen by an unknown person late at night on December 8, and was found ablaze the next day on Scenic Hill. The fire was extinguished quickly by the Hanwood RFS and Fire and Rescue Station 311 and the car was identified.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for another car theft.
A dark blue Chery T1X was stolen from Baiada on December 10 and is yet to be located.
Police are investigating but said that there is currently limited information on it.
It's not yet known whether another car fire in Hanwood is connected to the theft.
