Starting from 6:30pm in Memorial Park on Saturday, community members will lift their voices together and sing along to festive favourites throughout the night.

The 2020 event saw the number of attendees limited however this year the only restriction will be that carolers must be fully vaccinated to enjoy the festivities.

Event Organiser Julie Andreazza encouraged all community members to come together and enjoy the occasion.

"I am thrilled that we will be holding this event again, especially after the trying year everyone has had," Mrs Andreazza said.

Attendees will be entertained by local acts, with food and drinks available from Direct Injections Donuts, Peeches Coffee, a BBQ from the Rotary Club of Griffith Avanti and the much loved Mr Whippy.

Santa himself will also be making a special, one night only appearance directly from the North Pole.

"I am pleased to announce that not only will Santa be visiting, but he will be announcing the winners of the Griffith City Council Star Shopper Campaign - another great reason to come along!"

Council's Christmas Working Group Chair, Dino Zappacosta said that he was glad to see Carols by Candlelight return to Griffith this year, without the ticketing limitations of last year.

"With all the extra fairy lights in trees along Banna Avenue and added lights in Memorial Park, it's going to be a magical experience."

Attendees must be COVID-19 double vaccinated to attend. Children under 16 who are unvaccinated must be accompanies by a vaccinated adult.
