Sprouting from humble beginnings in 1996 by Phyllis and Peter Dart at 28 Mackay Avenue, the business has experienced tremendous growth over the years.
"It was a very small business when we first opened it, selling mainly pig feed," Ms Dart said.
"As I grew the business we made a number of improvements and increased it all the time until it got too big for me."
A quarter of a century later and they carry a broad range of animal feeds and supplements, saddlery and equine supplies, pet food, equipment, clothing and footwear.
In 2008, the business made the move to 168 Wakaden Street which offered a modern showroom and warehouse facility.

After retiring in 2016, Ms Dart handed over the reigns to incumbent Richard West who told The Area News just how proud he was to see the growth business and increase in trade.
"It is a testament to the team over the years of the business that we have managed to grow and evolve to the success that we are today 25 years on," Mr West said.
According to Mr West, since starting at Griffith Feed and Grain, the business had quadrupled in size.
"Phyliss Dart built a strong foundation for the business with a big focus on community and customer service.
"This remains our key focus today with a full driveway service and core range of products on hand."
Manager Cheryl Wood joined the business in 2020 and said that COVID-19 had created opportunities for the management team to explore further ways of expanding the business.
"Griffith Feed and Grain is just so dynamic, COVID really allowed us to focus on the future and the systems we have in place," Mrs Wood said.
According to the team, the domestic pet market in particular was booming, and they are keen to grow this aspect of the business as well as the traditional livestock feed they have on offer.
"This baby certainly has outgrown its parent, it really has grown beyond my wildest dreams," Ms Dart said.
