There will be cricket across both Saturday and Sunday for the first-grade sides in the GDCA competition, with the regular first-grade games to be backed up by the preliminary round games of the Don Coleman Twenty20 Shield.
In the day-nighter at Exies No 1, Exies Eagles will hunt for their first win of the season when they take on Exies Diggers.
It will be the second time the sides have met in the space of two weeks due to the round one game being moved into the general bye spot on November 6 due to the delayed start to the season.
It was a tight run game last time they met, with Diggers taking a three-wicket win, but both sides will be looking for improved performances for their batting line-ups and will be coming in fresh, having had the week off due to the washout games last weekend.
There were only three batsmen who were able to get starts in the last meeting between two sides, with Paresh Patil and Dean Bennett scoring over 20 for Diggers, while for the Eagles, Phil Burge was the only one to push on after getting settled as he posted a half-century.
The day-night game won't be the only meeting between the two sides this weekend as they will meet in the 1pm timeslot of the Twenty20s on Sunday as well.
It was a place of joy in an otherwise difficult season for the Eagles last season when they took out the T20 title with a win over Coro. They will be looking to get themselves into a position to defend that title with wins over Diggers and Hanwood.

Much like last weekend, grey clouds are building over the weekend, with predictions of rain to hit on Saturday and persist into Sunday.
The forecast for Saturday is predicting a 90 per cent chance of 10-20mm however it appears that rain will fall mostly overnight, and with another 1-5mm expected on Sunday, that would make it highly unlikely that there would be any action at Exies on Sunday.
Assuming the rain holds off, the first ball will be bowled in the day-nighter at 2pm on Saturday.
