Friday's Corporate Day went ahead, despite the intermittent drain, 28 business teams competing for the ultimate prize, the Leo Franco Motors Cup, the naming sponsor of the Three-Person Ambrose.
It was hotly contested, the Riverina Water Engineering team of Damien Lang, Damon Cafe and Robert Favero holding up the coveted Corporate Cup with a winning score of 58.4 nett.
In second place only .6 behind of 59 nett was the CIA Tyre Service Coleambally team of Shane Gilbert, Ben Curphy, Will Mitchell, closely followed by the Murrumbidgee Irrigation team of Ben Elwin, Wayne Henderson and Stuart Woods 60 nett.
Craig Barrington made a motza of the Chip to Win with a slam dunk, runner-up was Chris Butler.
Butler also won the Fred Cole open order, Colin Woodcock Golf Club membership, Bryan Salvestro the Taylor Golf prize. Peter Gill the Yenda Beer prize and Brendon Scott the Nissan prize.
With Saturday's golf washed out, a solid field of 59 players braved Sunday's strong winds and intermittent rain to contest a medley single stableford.
Travis Millis continued on his winning way, firing 76 off the stick to take out A Grade with 36 points on a countback over Warren Bock 84 also 36 points.
Stephen Lightfoot 34 points won B Grade, Shane Gaffey 33 points runner-up.
Rod McNabb 37 points best in C Grade from Jim Shannon 34 points on a countback over Stephen Collins and Greg Smith 33 points.
The City Volkswagon Scramble to be held this Sunday, November 21, unfortunately, it will just be a days event and not a qualifier.
It is still a Four Person Ambrose, 8.30am registration, 9am shotgun start, with a prize pool of $2,800.00. The winning team $1,600.00, 2nd, $800.00. 3rd, $400.00.
It is an elimination Ambrose, different from the usual format. An information sheet will be issued to each team prior to tee off.
Players are asked to nominate by Wednesday, November 17. As a reminder, all Covid protocols still apply. Unvaxed players must play in two's, one to a cart and leave the premises immediately after playing.
Today and Saturday's events are single stableford with a medley single stableford for players not in the Ambrose on Sunday.

The veteran's competition last Thursday was in two parts, 16 players stableford won by John Gale 37 points from Barry Stapleton 36 points.
The Rich River visit is on this coming Friday, November 19. It is not too late to make the trip, but you will have to book your won accommodation, Ring the Rich River Resort on 0354813333, ask for Griffith VetsDiscount. At the moment, there are 14 going.
The final round of the Cudmore-Williams Trophy was played at Leeton on Monday, November 8. Leeton won the day and trophy by one point, 55.8 to 54.8. Thank you to the 19 veterans who played.
This weeks event is a single stableford. Last Wednesday's single stableford was played in two grades with 34 players. James Browne 38 points won Div.1 ahead of Jorge Wood 37 points. John Cafe 36 points best in Div.2 over Stephen Lightfoot 35 points on a countback over Byron James.
