The Strikers put up a match winning score of 6/126 and made life difficult for the Stars batsmen who struggled to 8/49. Vai Patel led the run charge for the Strikers with 33 runs.
Callum Metcalfe gave good support with 22 runs, Megh Chaudhari added 19 and Bailey Hill 16. Hudson Crack tried to stem the flow of runs by picking up two wickets for the Sixers.
Hudson also top scored for his team with 16 runs. Ryan Booker was next best with nine. Andrew Maher showed good form with the ball to capture three wickets and Callum Metcalf made it a good double, picking up two wickets.
The Scorchers made a handy score of 8/103 which proved too much for the Sixers batsmen who finished on 14/84. Bill Barnard had a good day with the bat, hitting up 23 runs, Levi Plum again made a handy 20 runs and Harrison Palmer added 17.
Josh Taprell and Cowen Wynne both snapped up two wickets for the Sixers. Josh also led the run chase, hitting up 22 runs.
His main support came from Matilda Molloy who made 13 and Oscar Molloy 10. Bill Barnard bowled a devastating spell to capture six wickets. Harrison Palmer and Ed Palmer both took three wickets and Jasraj Singh two wickets.
The Heat made 5/90 in their game against the Hurricanes thanks to some big batting contributions from Koby Muirhead who made 26 and Zavier Hoffman 21.
Logan Cowie and Jordy James both made 14 useful runs. Ben Spry was the pick of the Hurricane bowlers, capturing two wickets. The Hurricanes replied by scoring 12/87.
Eamon Whelan made a big 26 runs, Ben Spry made 21 and Ollie Nancarrow 19. Jordy James, Xavier Hoffman and Jonas Catanzariti all picked up two wickets for the Heat.
The outstanding performer this week is Bill Barnard. His 23 runs and six wickets made him a clear winner of the weekly award.

Smith again showed what a powerful team they have, scoring 5/129 against Finch and then restricting their opposition to 9/60. Smith's big guns, Reif Leach 45 and Brad Whitworth 35 made large contributions, but not to be outdone, Violet Leach knocked up a hard hitting 28.
Miles Condon took 2/23 and Anthony D'Ambrosio 2/31 in trying to stem the flow of runs. Finch's top batters were Chahatedeep Singh who made 19 and Josh Pentony who made 11. Violet Leach doubled up in the bowling department by taking 4/6 in a match winning performance.
Some sound batting from Lyon enabled them to reach 5/108. Their main run scorers were Matthew Andrighetto who made 14, Nate Mingay 11 and Lachlan Spry 10.
Paxton Fall with 2/11 and Ester Sanson 2/22 were the pick of the Paine bowlers. Paine's batsmen were able to score 7/75 in a good run chase.
Will Ruggeri punished the Lyon bowlers to score 27 runs and Paxton Fall added a useful 10 runs. Luke Ramsey bowled an effective spell which yielded 3/7 and Jake Suine picked up 2/12.
Cricketer of the week is Luke Ramsey for his three wickets and eight runs for Lyon in their win over Paine.

MILLIKEN SHIELD
In the first round of the Milliken Shield competition at Collina oval on Sunday, Griffith scored a hard fought win over a very competitive Barellan side.
Griffith won the toss and batted. Their top order batsmen found it hard to get the scoreboard ticking over with the exception of Jai Kenny who made an important 25 retired.
Matthew Andrighetto, batting in the lower order helped to drag the score from 5/46 to 7/98 with a patient innings of 15 retired.
Barellan's innings was in early trouble with the score at 2/10. Toby Inglis with 23 runs and Max Conlan 25 not out were able to get Barellan back into the game.
However after Toby was dismissed and Max retired the run rate slowed. Vai Patel then put the result beyond doubt with an over that yielded 3/1 and he finished with the team's best bowling figures of 3/11.Barellan finished on 9/71at the end of their 30 overs.
