An assortment of costumes saw much loved literary characters come to life in the students with portrayals of superheroes, wizards and witches, space characters, princesses and video game characters.
Principal of Yenda Public School Gary Workman said the Book Week parade was originally schedule to take place in Term 3.
"As the students were learning from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we postponed the costume day to Term 4," Mr Workman said.
Yenda Public School Librarian Sue Chilvers called Book Week a 'glorious' celebration.
"Each year since 1945 the Children's Book Council of Australia has brought children and books together across Australia through Book Week," Mrs Chilvers said.
"During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators."

According to Mrs Chilvers, the students 'loved' coming to school dressed in a creative costume of their own.
"At Yenda Public we traditionally hold a Book Character Parade, and our students love coming to school dressed in a costume," Mrs Chilvers said.
"This year was no exception and we've seen Harry Potter, Hermione, Dumbledore, Elsa, Thelma the Unicorn, Wanda and many other favourites this week as we celebrated the 2021 CBCA Book Week."
Next week students will also be able to enjoy a Book Fair.
