The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast that severe thunderstorms will be likely or possible on Wednesday across the Riverina.

The BOM stated that thunderstorms were "expected" across much of NSW including a red area of "likely" severe thunderstorms that included Griffith, Leeton, Hay and Narrandera.
An amber area of "possible" severe thunderstorms includes the MIA, Wagga and surrounds.
To 9am Wednesday morning Leeton shire recorded 7.2mm of rain, with 4mm recorded in the hour to 10am.
It was much wetter in Griffith overnight with 22mm recorded to 9am on Wednesday.

"Some thunderstorms may become severe in amber areas, and some storms are likely to become severe in red areas. Hazards include large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain," BOM stated.
As of 9am on Wednesday, the Riverina was not subject to any severe weather warnings.
The BOM warned on Tuesday that NSW was facing days of heavy rain and flash flooding in some areas.
Both Leeton and Griffith can expect the rain to continue until at least the weekend.
