A 26 year old male has been arrested and charged with breaking and entering and the theft of a classic Holden Torana.

The theft happened on April 30, with the valuable car stolen from a Leeton residence. Ongoing investigations led police to identifying the thief and apprehending them just before midnight last night.
While the thief has been arrested, the car is still loose. Police confirmed that it is no longer in Leeton, and has been moved on but inquiries into the car's location are continuing.
Police made a number of other arrests over the weekend. At 10am on August 29, police located a stolen Mercedes G-63. Police observed the vehicle on Watson Road when checks revealed that it was stolen from Albury, and a pursuit commenced.

The pursuit went around Griffith, before being terminated on Kidman Way near Tarbogan. Police located the vehicle on fire later in the day, on Scenic Hill. The vehicle was extensively damaged by the fire.
Inquiries led police to a 29 year old male who had been a passenger in the vehicle - he was spotted on Banna Avenue and was arrested. He has now been charged with being carried in a conveyance.
Police are still inquiring into the driver, and asking for any information on their identity.
