Griffith's Legatees support 200 widows and family members locally and from August 29th to September 4th, Griffith residents will be able to show their support to these families.
And whilst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has presented many challenges, Griffith Legacy Secretary Terry Walsh says that Legacy will hold fast to its promise to support veterans and their families, even if Legatees are unable to go ahead with badge selling.
"Currently we are hamstrung, and have been directed to not participate in any face to face badge selling due to the ongoing pandemic," Mr Walsh said.
"However we remain optimistic about the situation in the coming weeks, and hope we can raise funds this Legacy Week, even if it is on a smaller scale."

Last year, even though Legacy Week activity was significantly reduced, Griffith Legacy was still able to raise an impressive figure of over $6000.
Mr Walsh said that this amount was a tribute to the generous spirit of the local community.
"Our fundraising throughout the year and in Legacy Week has always been high," Mr Walsh said.
"Griffith is such a giving and supportive community."
Griffiths Legatees are still hoping to do a letterbox drop, hand out badge trays to local businesses to sell on their behalf and run community stalls at the Banna Avenue Kiosk and outside Bunnings.
"We will do whatever we can if the opportunity arises, if we can get the go ahead we are keen," Mr Walsh said.
A decision will be made in the coming weeks in regards to what Legacy Week will look like in Griffith.
