After receiving input from the community on the last plan back in February, council has identified a number of problematic areas around town that are hoped to be addressed with the updated plan.
A little over 100 residents responded to the survey, offering feedback and criticism of the 2017 DIAP. By current Commonwealth regulations, council is required to update the plan every four years.

The report notes that over five per cent of Griffith residents are living with a disability, with 20 per cent of the over-65 population requiring some form of assistance.
"I believe more disability parking would be extremely beneficial to all Griffith citizens who have a physical disability," reads one of the statements offered to council.
Key issues raised include a lack of wheelchair accessibility around public bathrooms and public transport, as well as issues with accessible parking.
The current draft plan includes an accessible stage at the community gardens, as well as ensuring the future community centre provides much-needed services to Griffith's disabled community.
Submissions regarding the plan can be made through the council website up to 4pm on August 27.
