Stage 3 of the works has been well underway since December 2020, and has also seen the installation of curbs and gutters from Ulong to Daines Street.
Footpaths on the northern side of Yambil Street are now fully open to pedestrians with the exception of outside Cater and Blumer and Inspirations Paint where work is still underway.
According to Griffith City Council, paving works have now commenced on the footpaths with a new focus on perhaps the biggest aspect of the upgrades - the roadworks.
Recently, the final layer of road base was installed, however whilst this brings Griffith one step closer to the works wrapping up for good, the road grading and compaction will limit pedestrian activity in the vicinity of the site.

Vini Agostino, Project Administration Support Officer at Griffith City Council said that businesses would continue to be accessible as works ramp up and heavy machinery takes hold of Yambil Street following months of frustration from business owners at being cut off from the road.
"To access businesses on the northern side of Stage 3, it is recommended that customers park in the Stage 3 northern side car parks, via Banna Lane, which provide easy access to the completed footpaths and business entrances."
With work wrapping up on the northern side of the road, the southern side will next get some much deserved attention with works expected to wrap up in mid December 2021.
Yambil Street will then see a sprint to the finish line, with Stage 4 of the upgrade project expecting to take 25 weeks, stretching from Daines Street to Kookora Street.
