Nothing like a bit of spring-like weather after a dismal winter to draw Ferals to the Hill on a Saturday. There were 38 for the 7.6 kilometre long course and 57 for the 3.3 km short course.

The warmer weather was also responsible for a significant number of personal bests being recorded.
The short course "Yellow Capped" Peggy Carpenter was absent on the day, and this was the opportunity Harry Morshead was looking for in order the regain the "Yellow Cap".
Running a PB and finishing in fourth place Morshead with 152 points will wear the "Yellow Cap" again.
Carpenter on 144 points could regain the cap in the remaining two races of this competition.
Punters should not discount Nate Mingay making a final lunge for the cap, on Saturday with a PB he finished in fifth place just three seconds behind Morshead and with 143 points is only seven points behind the "Yellow Cap".

Drew and Macy Braithwaite had three minutes and 30 seconds added to their handicap, but it made little difference to their 1-2 placing of last week.
Macy was again first and Drew was third.
We have not seen Anna Price-Taylor since the Bacchus and before that October 2020, however her presence was noted, and it was she in second place who separated the Braithwaites.
In the long course the quiet-natured Hamish Gunn was determined to hang onto the "Yellow Cap".
Gunn finished in first place taking 42 seconds off last week's run.
With 180 points he is 42 points ahead of Mark Andreazza and Ashley Pianca who are tiedon 138 points.
With her foot on the pedal Eleonore Boucard was more than five minute faster than last week.
Boucard jumped from 39th last week to second this week, in third place was Ashley Pianca.
It was Sharon Careri milestone day as she clocked up 2000 kilometres of recorded "Hill" running.
Careri had to leave immediately after the run but has promised to celebrate the milestone in the traditional manner this coming Saturday.
