Coach Chris McGregor said the result was well deserved and was a terrific result for the team.
"Today's result was really good, all of the boys on the field working fairly hard" Coach McGregor said.
"We have a first grade team of around 50 players but with some regular players unable to play due to injury at the moment, our bench boys made a massive difference when they joined the play."
"Hamish Wrafter got us across the field, Emanuel Dutack controlled the game really well, putting our side consistently in a good field position, and of our forwards had a strong game beginning to end."
However, whilst the win was well deserved, Coach McGregor notes that there is still much to improve on over the next few weeks of competition.
"Todays result is a big achievement for the club, however we need to stay focused and keep working" Coach McGregor said.
Saturdays win for the Blacks also saw the club lock in a 'blackout', meaning that all four grades of the Blacks had won that week, even more exciting as this has now occurred for four weeks straight.
"As a result of this blackout, all four grades are now guaranteed a spot in the upcoming finals" Coach McGregor said.

"In preparation for the finals, all of the squad really will have to smooth out any kinks in their play and work a whole lot harder."
"Our defence needs improvement as well as our ball handlings skills, however generally all the boys played a solid game across the park."
Next Saturday the team will travel to Conolly Rugby Park in Wagga to play against Wagga City who back in May, dominated the game, winning against the Blacks 19 - 0 in what was a crushing loss for the team.
Currently, Wagga City are on the top of the leader board and are ten points ahead of the Blacks.
However, Coach McGregor said that he was fairly confident that history would not be repeating itself in next weeks away game.
