The sign has been removed eight times over the last two months.
Council's works manager Manjit Chugha said that the signs were lasting less than a day.
"Each time the sign is replaced, within 24 hours vandals have removed it - oftentimes removing the entire post from the ground," he said.
On July 21, the sign was replaced with additional efforts to keep it in place. The post was reinforced and specialised anti-theft nuts with thread locker adhesive was used to affix the sign. The sign was still removed that night.
"This creates a dangerous situation for motorists and has the potential to cause a serious accident and is putting lives in danger," Mr Chugha said.
