Abhiyash Sandhu got the Griffith side off to a flying start with a goal in the second minute, and they were able to maintain the ascendancy for the rest opening 45 minutes.
Canberra Olympic brought the sides back level in the 64th minute, and as the game entered the final 10 minutes, it looked like the points would be shared until Alexander Careri stepped up to find the back of the net and give Griffith FC the three points with a 2-1 win.
The win sees Griffith FC stay in an unlikely hunt for a finals position as they are seven points behind Brindabella with six rounds remaining.
The under 16s shared the points in their clash with Canberra Olympic.
The two sides entered halftime locked at 1-1, with Luke Bastianon finding the back of the net for the Griffith side. A second-half double to Blake Patten wasn't enough to secure more points as the sides finished level at 3-3.

The under 14s were also forced to share the points after losing a first-half lead.
Bethany Piva and Dane O'Connor found the back of the net in the first half to see Griffith FC leading 2-0 at the break, but a second-half surge was enough to swing momentum and see the sides finish level at 2-2.
The under 13s fell to just their second defeat of the season in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Olympic team.
It was a battle between the top two sides, but Griffith FC still holds a five-point lead at the top of the table.
