A car went over the edge of Scenic Hill yesterday, hanging precariously on the cliff edge as firefighters, police and the SES worked to rescue it.

An 18-year-old girl was driving the car when it went over the cliff face, believed to have been a deliberate act. The SES retrieved the girl from the car and she has been taken to Griffith Base Hospital for treatment.
Nobody was injured in the incident and the car has since been removed.
Another car accident occurred earlier in the day, as a taxi collided with a motorcycle on the corner of Willandra Avenue and Ulong Street.
The motorcycle rider has been taken to hospital for assessment and the taxi driver has been issued with an infringement for failing to give way.

Continuing Griffith's string of car fires, a stolen Corolla has been found set alight. The car was stolen from Banna Lane at approximately 5pm on Saturday, and was found pushed into the canal at a railway crossing.
Police believe the suspect to be male and around 21 or 22 years old. Anyone with information on the theft is encouraged to call Griffith Police on 6969 4299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
