Unleash your creativity and explore your appreciation for the human body by participating in a series of life drawing sessions at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery.
Participants will be able to book in for just one or two sessions to try it out, but for avid painters and creatives in the community, you will be able to book in for a full term.
Gallery Coordinator Raymond Wholohan said that life drawing was a fundamental part of any art education and training.
"We as a gallery think it is very important to run sessions like these as they are a staple in art education, in developing discipline and a deeper understanding of visual arts" Mr Wholohan said.
The two hour life drawing sessions will be run by experienced local artist, Dorothy Roddy who debuted her own solo exhibition titled 'Evolution' last year at the Leeton Museum and Art Gallery.
Dorothy will teach attendees different painting techniques for translating the human body onto a canvas, and help painters develop a deeper awareness of the ways in which painters see in real time, as well as celebrating the dynamism and immediacy of seeing and drawing a real life human model.
"When you draw from life you are not looking to draw a body, you are looking to jot down movement and the shapes that first catch your eyes" Mrs Roddy said.
"Once you develop these skills you'll start to jot down not what you see but what you feel
Easels, boards, clips and a handful of select materials will be available alongside refreshments provided by Dee Vine Estate.
Griffith Regional Art Gallery have referred to the events as like yoga for artists, with the addition of vino.
"A brilliant time will be had by all" Mr Wholohan said.
"We have a lot of fun, and once you get into the zone of creating, you don't worry about anything else" Mrs Roddy echoed.
Classes start from Wednesday the 21st of July and will run for six weeks.
