Nobody was home at the time, and investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire with police on the scene today. It's currently thought that the fire started in the bedroom but this has yet to be confirmed.
Griffith Fire and Rescue turned out to the fire call just past 8 o'clock on Monday night - along with police and ambulance services. Three trucks from the Griffith brigade responded.
The Heath Crescent call was Griffith's fourth structure fire in as many days.
Griffith FRNSW Captain Danielle McKay said that between the four fires and additional jobs, the station has collectively worked 208 hours since Thursday.
"It's a lot, they're all volunteers. They've got their other jobs as well."
Captain McKay said that the house faced significant structural damage but neighbours houses were unharmed.
"There's a fair bit of structural damage. The front of the house was well alight when we turned up."
