President of the Reunion Committee, Donald Matheson, said it was truly special to reach the 100 year milestone. "As the first rugby league club formed in Griffith itself, we have lots of history to celebrate," Matheson said.
We have lots of history to celebrate

"The club hasn't held a formal reunion event since the early 1980s so it is a great opportunity to reunite and reconnect with old teammates and friends," he continued.
On the night, a Team of the Era from 1954 to 2020 will be announced, which has been created from the painstaking efforts of a special committee who have also been unearthing old memorabilia and team photos in preparation for the weekend.
A meet and greet for former players, coaches and supporters will be held at the Southside Leagues Club on July 9 from 6pm to kick the weekend off. On July 10 there will be a four man Ambrose golf event over nine holes. Players will be able to register as a team or as individuals, with a tee off time of 9am at Griffith Golf Club.
Later that evening, the reunion celebration dinner will be held at Southside Leagues Club with former NRL, NSW and Australian Test International player Brett Kimmorley joining as a special guest. The weekend will culminate in a rugby league gala day at SolarMad Stadium from 10am.
"We are expecting to see a huge rollup of current and past players, family members, officials and supporters to attend what should be a very memorable day of Rugby League," reunion committee secretary Alister Watt said.
The matches will be held against the Leeton Galloping Greens who are also celebrating 100 years in 2021 and will start from the Junior Panthers games all the way through to the first grade side who will wear an all black heritage jumper as worn by the club in the early 1920s.
After the games, there will be a post game celebration at Southside Leagues, with a heritage jumper auction.
Old school memorabilia and a special edition book celebrating the history of the club will also be on display and for purchase.
