The Griffith Golf Club has received $105,000 from the NSW Government to build the multi-purpose block, which will house bathrooms, showers, a kitchen and a lunchroom.

Club secretary and manager Wayne Moat said the building will be a big help for grounds staff, who previously had to travel all the way up to the clubhouse to shower.

He added that the building will also provide golfers with an extra bathroom and help the club host future events.

"The lunchroom will obviously be mainly usedby the grounds staff throughout the week but we will also open it up on charity days or corporate days," Mr Moat said.

"We can use that to cook meals or even to sell drinks out of.

"I just think the building will improve the experience for everyone on the course."

Griffith Golf Club president Robin Salvestro said the course as a whole will be "greatly improved" as a result of the building.

Nationals MLC Wes Fang announced the funding for the building ealier this week.

The grant is being delivered through the government's crown land manager recovery support program.

In a statement, Mr Fang said the new block will help improve a course vital to both local residents and visitors.

"This new infrastructure will benefit the local community and the many people who visit Griffith regularly to play golf for leisure and tournaments," he said.

"The multi-purpose facility will make the golf course more user-friendly and meet the needs of players, grounds staff and volunteers."

Construction of the amenities block will begin at some point in the next 12 months.
