Two people have been charged after being found with $140,000 of drugs while driving through Beelbangera, just two kilometres north-east of Griffith.

Officers stopped the 31-year-old female driver and 30-year-old male passenger as they were travelling from Goulburn, at about 4:45am on Sunday morning.
While searching their black Mitsubishi lancer, police allegedly found more than 280 grams of methylamphetamine, as well as three mobile phones and $1150 cash.
According to police, the drugs have an estimated street value of $140,000 and the items seized will undergo forensic examination.
The two occupants of the vehicle were taken to Griffith Police Station where they were charged with supplying a prohibited drug, commercial quantity.

The woman was also charged with possessing a prohibited drug.
Both will appear in Griffith Local Court at a later date.
The arrests were made following investigations into the supply of illegal drugs to Griffith which launched in early 2021 with Strike Force Warrul.
