Tony L will perform at the Exies Sports Club on Friday from 7pm. Hidden Thief will be on stage at the Griffith Exies main club from 7pm on Saturday. Tony Licastro will take the microphone from 8.30pm on Saturday at the Southside Leagues Club. DJ Bones will be on the decks from 10pm on Saturday at the Area Hotel.
ARCHIBALD PRIZE
Australia's best known art prize comes to Griffith
The nation's most famous art prize will be exhibited in Griffith. Free guided tours are running at 10.30am and 1.30pm. Bookings are essential for events, visit Griffith Regional Gallery's website for details. The exhibition will run until June 27.
PAINTING WORKSHOP
Learn art of portrait painting with award winning painter
Darling National Portrait prize winner Anthea Da Silva who will share the basics of portraiture painting, what constitutes a portrait and how to see your subjects. The workshop will run on June 5 and 6 at the Lake Wyangan Lakehouse, tickets are $200. Contact Griffith Regional Gallery for information.
CARMEN
Planned performance of Carmen by Opera Australia postponed
Griffith was set to host Opera Australia's performance of Carmen. However due to travel restrictions the show will no go ahead on June 5. Griffith Regional Theatre are contacting ticket holders.
SUNDAY MARKETS
Fresh food, crafts and more at Griffith Showgrounds
Griffith Rotary's markets open from 7am until midday on Sunday. Stallholders will have everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, pizza bases, fresh honey, jewellery, candles, clothes, preserves and oils, seedlings and plants. Entry is by gold coin donation to Griffith Rotary Club.
