"We got two quotes and picked one from a local chap ... We're all ready to go, it's just up to him to get the supplies and do the job now. We're just hoping the quote hasn't changed."
The Coleambally men's shed is open three and a half days a week, so Mr Boyle says the solar power will go a long way for them
"Every little bit helps, we're getting an aging population here at the men's shed. We need all the help we can get."
Farrer MP Sussan Ley welcomed the newest funding boosts.
"Men's sheds play a vital role in preventing social isolation and offer hundreds of men in Farrer a safe and friendly environment where they can work on projects and build strong social connections," she said, in a statement released.
The Darlington Point men's shed is also a recipient of the boost, getting $1245 for a new speed-variable wood lathe.
