As if taking a tumble on the track last week was not enough, Roy Binks again crossed the finish line with blood on his knees. Let's hope he does not make it a trifecta next week. Richard West also embraced mother earth with evidence for all to see.

Last week I spoke of the 8-week competition, turns out it is a 10-week competition. In Race 7 of the long course Moreno Chiappin with a PB was first home collecting 40 points, taking his leading point score to 42 points over Mark Hancock.
Aiden Cummins returned for his second run on the Hill and despite an increased handicap of 3 minutes managed 2nd place followed by Graeme Lyons then 37 others.
Connor Moore making his first appearance for 2021 was first back in the short course competition, followed by Ruby Kenny and Gianni Chiappin and 39 others.
In this competition Kenny has made three appearances and Chiappin two.
The interest in the short competition lies further down the pack with runners who appear weekly. Jack Jasnos had 30sec added to his handicap resulting his 10th placing, however 4 wins out of seven has him 34 points ahead of Nate Mingay who is on 173 points.
Mingay is heavily handicapped, but he is regularly in the top 5. Jasnos needs to put in strong performances for the next three weeks to claim the trophy.
Congratulations to Janet Mazzarolo who reached the 4,000km milestone on Saturday and had plenty of supporters to share the celebration.
