Tumut pulled a goal back in the early stages of the second half before Hanwood was able to resume control of the game to secure a 9-1 victory.
Daniel Rogato continued his good goal scoring form with another two goals while Anthony Agresta, Danny Johnson and Andy Gamble all finished with doubles while Chaise Donetto finished with a goal.
Coach Brian Bertolin felt it was the best first-half his side had put together so far this season.
"We really held the ball well and passed it around well, and everyone was in sync with their movement, and our finishing was really good," he said.
"We were getting in there and putting it in the back of the net, so I was really happy with the first half. The second half started off a bit sloppy and conceded that goal at the start of the second half."
