Griffith City Council has announced the next lot of recipients for the Community Grant Program, with $30,000 set to be distributed among the 13 local groups.
The successful applicants will receive grants between $500 and $3500 to "address unmet needs, improve well-being and reduce isolation of disadvantaged groups".
Among the recipients is St Patrick's Primary School, who will be putting their $2500 grant towards a centenary wall celebrating 100 years since the school first began.
The wall will be covered in pictures from across the school's history, principal Michael Morrell said.
At this week's council meeting, councillor Dino Zappacosta said all groups will officially receive their grants at a presentation later this year where they can explain to the community exactly how they plan to use the funds.

Cr Zappacosta added that "all the applicants this year were very worthy" and that there is about $3000 left over should any emergency cases pop up in the next six months.
The Community Grants Program has two rounds per year which community organisations, services and individuals can apply for grants capped at $2500, or $4000 for exceptional projects.
The proram is run year in and year out, and is budgeted at the start of the financial year so other works or initiatives run by council does not run at a loss.
Full cost will be quite a bit more 1500 and 2500 should cover
