The 31-year-old female was travelling west on Church Street when she was pulled over by police for a breath test at about 4:50pm on Thursday.
Police say they pulled over the woman in response to a complaint about a white Ford Ranger driving in a dangerous manner.
The Leeton resident produced her license and allegedly told police she had consumed "two cans of pre-mixed Smirnoff vodka" earlier that day.
The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result and she was subsequently arrested and taken to Leeton Police Station for further breath analysis.
In the second test, the woman allegedly recorded a positive reading of 0.099, nearly two times the legal limit.
Her licence was immediately suspended and she was charged with mid range drink driving and issued a court attendence notice.
