The event was held at the Griffith Ex-Servicemen's Club, and promised a chance for attendees to mingle and enjoy some pastries, accompanied by local musician Janae Rosa.
Coordinator of GASS Monica Beckman said that their goal of providing social support tended to culminate in the event, bringing together an impressive amount of seniors for a morning tea.
"We wanted to put on an event for the whole community... it's something that a lot of our seniors have been looking forward to, some of them for months."
This year's impressive turnout was attributed to last year's event being cancelled due to COVID-19, increasing the desire to get out and socially engage.
Odette Dotter, one of the attendees, had nothing but compliments to give about the seniors groups in town, saying that they'd been invaluable in her recovery after a stroke in 2013.
"I didn't realise I was a senior until I got here and joined the seniors exercise group... they've helped me socially, mentally and most importantly, physically."

Ms Dotter was enjoying the event, but looking forward to other possibilities in the near future, inspired by the positive effect that the seniors support groups had given to her.
"I feel positive enough about being a senior that I just bought a campervan!"
Fay Pilloni, functions coordinator of the Exies said that it was a privilege to host the event every year and they were thrilled to be supporting them.
"We're proud to put on the event, and give back to the elderly who've done so much for the community... I think between us and and Griffith Aged Support Services, we've put on a really great day for them."
Ms Beckman agreed, saying that the event likely couldn't happen without the continued support of the club.
"We partnered with the Exies, they give us this room for free and we're really grateful for that. We couldn't do it without them."
