The group has 27 members, almost all of whom participated in the showcase in some fashion, with most displaying at least one quilt. The quilts are an impressive show of dedication from the members, with a quilt often taking up to three years to finish.

The group donates profits from the exhibition to charity, with this year's take of $7000 going to the Motor Neurone Griffith and District Support Group.

In addition to this donation, many of the quilts themselves are donated to groups in need. This year's quilts that weren't being kept aside for a family member were evenly split between the oncology department of Griffith Hospital and Country Hope, a support group for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families.

The showcase this year was particularly impressive, perhaps due to so many people staying home last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

President of the Murrumbidgee Country Quilters Judith Lodding had a particularly impressive quilt on display, which she attributed to a period of illness.

"I was sick for a bit last year, so I was just sitting for two months. That's where my quilt came from."

Mrs Lodding emphasised the work that goes into the exhibition every year, having started setting up on Thursday and sleeping over at the hall to ensure the quilts were safe.

"We had to start on Thursday... it takes eight hours to hang all the quilts up for display."

Her hard work paid off however, with the exhibition drawing over 300 people through the doors over the weekend. The show also provided an opportunity for those attending to see the new Woodside Hall after it's recent renovations.

"A lot of memories of the hall were shared... weddings, balls, even basketball that was played there."

While this year's show was successful, the group is already working on their displays for the next show in 2023.
