When Ester Hookey purchased a raffle ticket from Carevan to put herself in the running to win a double-decker cubby house last year, she never planned on actually winning it.
"I didn't have any use for it really, but if someone is selling tickets to raise money for something like Carevan I'll buy one everytime," Mrs Hookey said.
As fate would have it, Mrs Hookey won the raffle and suddenly found herself the owner of the cubby.
Rather than leaving the cubby to pick up dust or selling it for some extra cash, Mrs Hookey has re-donated her prize back to Carevan.
The cubby house is up for auction and anyone interested can make a bid to land it for their backyard.
"I am more than happy to give it to someone else," Mrs Hookey said. "I haven't got any use for it and I figured if Carevan can use it to raise more money so they can keep helping people then let them have it!"
"I see how hard the people that work for Carevan work and I know the people they're helping really need that assistance.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"If we can get people to bid for this prize and it's going to help Carevan help people then please bid up as much as you can!"
Carevan coordinator Janice Sartor described Mrs Hookey's gesture as "amazing".
"It's another opportunity to raise some extra funds for Carevan so it's perfect," she said.

With many charities still reeling from the impact of the pandemic on fundraising, the donation has come at a helpful time for Carevan.
"We're going to use the funds to just keep the service running because last year was really difficult because of COVID."
"Fundraising came to a complete halt and hopefully this will help get us back on track."
The cubby house was originally donated to Carevan by Julia and Josh Vearing from Ranbuild Griffith.
To make a bid on the cubby house contact Janice Sartor on 6962 4144 or through janice.sartor@griffithcommunitycentre.org.au.
Griffith Carevan is also on the lookout for any residents experienced in preparing and handling food to join their roster - anyone interested can contact Ms Sartor.
