ProTen Cup's ladies were able to put on a bit of a clinic on Saturday afternoon when they picked up a 46-12 win over Group 20 in one of the curtain-raiser games at EW Moore Oval.

The Group 20 side started stronger and opened the scoring with Eliza Baddock putting Luci Lugston into a hole to score, but the lead didn't last long as the ProTen side started to get a roll-on.
Monique Higgins scored and converted her side's first try to bring the scores back level before a try each to Elle Darlow, and Tomi Booth had the ProTen side leading 16-6 at the half-time break.
It looked like the ProTen side would strike early in the second half, but the attempt from Jessie Carter pulled back for a double movement.

They didn't have to wait long to extend their lead further, however with Booth scoring her second of the afternoon after a 70m break before Sammyjo Cummins was able to find a hole in the Group 20 defence to score under the post.
Emily Wright pushed the lead out to 28 points when she was able to score in the corner before Higgins got over for her second of the match to all but put the game to bed with the ProTen side leading 40-6.
Group 20 were able to do a great job keeping the ball alive with Vanessa Richards, Lugston and Baddock combining to see Baddock get over under the post to bring the margin back slightly.
Booth restored the margin late in the game with her third try as ProTen came away convincing 34-point winners.
