Two die in tragic circumstances in MIA

Two people in the MIA died on Monday in tragic circumstances.
At 11.20am, Griffith police were called to Hanwood to reports of a car crash.
A 49-year-old woman was travelling east on Cox Road in Hanwood when she lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle collided with a power pole and later came to rest in a drainage channel.
The Malaysian national died at the scene.
Crash investigators from Murrumbidgee Police District are investigating the circumstances of the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Police were also called to a property off Erigolia Road near Rankin Springs following an accident involving a four-wheeler motorbike.
Around 1.30pm on Monday, a 66-year-old man was loading a Honda four-wheeler onto a ute when the four-wheeler went over the side of the ute try.
The man died at the scene.
Forensic investigators have attended the scene and have started an investigation, with SafeWork NSW to be notified.
