The group received a $62,345 grant this week, to be used on upgrades to the Carroll Pavilion, which contains the cooking area at Barellan's Showground.
Assistant Secretary of the Barellan Show Society Tracey Gordon said the grant will benefit the entire community.
"I am overwhelmed we have received this funding. When [Member for Cootamundra] Steph Cooke called to tell us we had gotten this grant I was so excited," she said."
"It's going to make a huge difference to us."
Ms Gordon said the grant would help transform the pavilion, which currently "doesn't even have an oven", into the perfect place to hold meetings and functions.
She said it would be an asset for the entire community, and open up the possibility of more events down the line.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke awarded the grant, which builds on funds the showground received last year to build new toilet and amenity buildings.

"This is a beautiful showground and home to iconic events like the Good Old Days Festival, and I always enjoy my time at this great community space," Ms Cooke said. "This new kitchen will enhance the experience of volunteers and visitors."
"Together with this new grant a huge amount of work is happening at this great site to ensure it can be enjoyed for generations."
Last year, the Barellan Show Society was hit when COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the popular Good Old Days Festival.
The society has received this grant through the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund (CRIF), an annual funding program which provides support to Crown land managers by funding repairs and maintenance projects.
