130 players turn out for the qualifier for the Red Gum Memorial Plate
The event was a 4 BBB Aggregate Stableford with 32 pairs to qualify for the match play with 61 points on a countback the cut off.
Bryan Salvestro and Adrian Kidd carded 78 points to win the days event also, be top qualifiers from Alf Franchi and Barry Stapleton 75 points in third place was Adam McCann/Brad Clark 74 points with Nick Van lijf/Nick Viasoff 72 points.
Viasoff won the 7th, pin, Grant Gyles 16th.
Vouchers to 65 points.
Qualifiers must not play their matches prior to the Calcutta on this coming Thursday, February 4 at 7.00pm.
There was also a single in conjunction, Aaron Webb 42 points won A Grade from Adrian Smith 39 points.
B Grade Alf Franchi 39 points, from Tony Leadbetter 36 points. Tom Watson 43 points won C Grade over Adam McCann 39 points.
Saturday's event was a true test of handicap a single versus par and the predicted rain which did not occur saw a reduced field of 55 players turn out.
Joshua Smith with a great score of +4 won A Grade, nailing a birdie on the 16th and 9th, Bryan Trembath +3 second, firing one under par 70 with birdies on the 9th, 10th, 12th and 15th.
Aaron Lawler +4 won B Grade ahead of Garry Hartnett +2.
Chris Gill also +4 best in C Grade ahead of promising junior Riley Townsend +2, nailing a birdie on the 7th on a countback over Terry Greedy +2.
Bryan Trembath won the 4th pin and the 15th with an Eagle Two, Alan LeBroque 7th, Allan Andreazza 8th, John Harrison 11th, Chick Graham 16th.

The Volkswagon Scramble will be held on Sunday, February 14. and teams must register online or by contacting the Pro Shop.
The event is for both mixed and men's with a 10.00am shotgun start.
Today's and Sunday's are both single stablefords. Saturday a single stroke for the February medal.
The veterans were washed out last week and will resume with a medley single stableford on Thursday.
Also, subs are due and must be paid by February 28.
A single stableford on Australia Day with 63 players, A Grade Slim Cavanaugh 39 points from Martin Sweney 36 points.
B Grade Lama Lolotonga 40 points over Steve Lightfoot 40 points.
Kevin French 43 points won C Grade ahead of Riley Townsend 36 points.
Vouchers to 31 points.
Last Wednesday's single stableford had 37 players.
A Grade Brian Savage 38 points, Chris Fuchs 37 points.
B Grade Fusi Fidow 5 points on a countback over Derek Langford 35 points.
C Grade Cec Spence 32 points John Wallace 31 points.
Jorge Woods won the 7th pin, John Badoco 15th.
