With all the other states and territories slamming the door shut to NSW in varying degrees, interstate visitors have been forced to abandon holidays and head home.
Victorians joined six-hour queues out of the NSW South Coast yesterday and back over the border when it announced its border would close to NSW at midnight tonight.

As they fled the NSW South Coast, cancellations rolled in from those who had bookings, leaving accommodation owners to take to Facebook let others know of the newly available getaways - and hopefully pick up new bookings to fill the books in what is meant to be the busiest time of the year.

Posts proclaiming "cancelled due to border closures" and "property now available due to interstate cancellation" are common across the group.
Social media users are jumping on the chance to look and book a last minute getaway on the back of a year when holidays were largely non-existent, interrupted and hard to come by.
