THIEVES have made off with a $4000 bicycle after stealing it from a 65-year-old man who was camping at the Showground Caravan Park, but it's the victim who will have the last laugh.
The man's Orbea bicycle, valued at $4000, was attached to the rear of his caravan.
Overnight on December 30, unknown persons have broken the lock securing the bicycle and stolen it.
About 8.30pm on December 31, police were patrolling through the Pioneer area in Griffith and sighted the bicycle in the driveway of a house.
Officers seized the item with the consent of the owner and will subject it to forensic analysis before returning it to the owner.
