Many Griffith residents are no doubt excited to celebrate the end of a tough 12 months, and the opportunities that come with a new year.
So here is everything you need to know about what's on in Griffith this New Year's Eve.
Hosting a house party?
Planning on hosting your own shindig to party into the new year with friends and family? Well make sure you invite no more than 50 people to your home, because if any more than that attend, every single visitor could be fined for a breach of public health order.
If you are getting together with mates in a public place, keep an eye out for how many others had the same idea, as there can be no more than 100 people in the area.
If you are hosting a house party, try to avoid serving communal food or drinks, and make sure everyone maintains social distancing.
Fireworks on display at the Southside Leagues Club:
The Southside Leagues Club will be keeping things traditional, with a fireworks show at midnight.
There will also be live music from the Baker Boys Band from 7:30pm at the club, and a kid's entertainment room organised by Entertainment Galore which will be open from 7-10.
The club urged anyone looking to have dinner at the venue to make bookings.
Have a meal and get your boogie on at the Exies:
If you're on the hunt for live music, Max Jones will be playing from 7pm at the Exies Main Club in the roundabout lounge.
And if you're looking for something a bit more fancy, the club is also hosting a Dinner and Dance event. For $75, you can celebrate the end of a tough year with a three-course meal and a chance to strut your stuff on the dance floor in the Mirrool room.
Sing your heart out at the Coro Club:
Anyone who has been practising their singing will be glad to hear the Coronation Club is hosting New Year's Eve Karoake, hosted by Chris Sutton.
The outdoor bar and Cabana's will be open, and cocktails will be on offer throughout the night.
Fireworks will be displayed on the big screen.
Business as usual for the Area Hotel, Victoria Hotel, Northside Leagues Club and Yenda Pub:
These venues won't be hosting anything special for the night, but will be open to their usual hours, though maybe staying open a bit later than usual.
Like the other clubs and pubs on this list, they will have to follow the current COVID-19 guidelines.
This means there must be 2 square metres of space for every person on the premises, and no one is allowed to drink while standing up inside.
Any dancefloors are limited to 50 people.
Doors shut at Hanwood Sports Club:
Hanwood Sports Club will be closed for New Year's Eve.
Venues may change their plans as they respond to changing guidelines.
