A toy and food run organised by locals has seen hundreds of items donated to Meals on Wheels and Hampers of Hope.
Over 100 generous people came down to the Fairey Firefly plane monument for the run, raising over $3700 for the charities to go alongside the donations of food and toys.

The toys, which included plenty of Lego, dolls, and even a push bike, are currently being distributed to families in need in Griffith and surrounding areas.
The food is being put into hampers, which will go out to people doing it rough next week.
Meals on Wheels coordinator Tennille Valensisi said the charity was blown away at the success of the run.
"We're overwhelmed," she said. "It's been really beautiful. We've got a very giving community."
"We're going to brighten many families Christmas' this year."
Mrs Valensisi said she was very thankful towards all who donated, and in particular, Janelle and Robert Smith, the two Griffith residents who came up with and organised the run in the hope of providing a little joy at the end of a tough year.
Both Mr and Mrs Smith described the day as "awesome", and said while it was busy and full-on, everyone involved enjoyed it.
Mr Smith had the original idea for the run, and said he wasn't sure what to expect going into it.
"It was pretty overwhelming at the end of the day seeing what we were donating to both charities," he said.

"I know things have been pretty hard for everyone, so the outcome was just great."
Once all the donations had been collected, about 30 vehicles, including motorbikes, vintage cars, trucks, and the Meals on Wheels van, took to the streets, driving through town in a convoy.
Mrs Smith said even though some of the vehicles got a little lost, they all still had a fun day.
