Mr Charles is currently sourcing and accepting donations all over Griffith for his Santa Red Sleigh Tour which will see him and his three sons deliver gifts to Griffith and Darlington Point families over Christmas.
"It was always something I wanted to do but have never had the chance," Mr Charles said.
"I grew up in a big family, I've got five brothers and a sister and growing up we valued what we had, a lot of it was hand-me-downs.
Mr Charles took his idea to the Griffith Exies management after settling in to his new job and found nothing but support.
"When Brad Charles asked for support for his Giving Tree and Santa Red Sleigh Tour we thought it was a great way for the Exies to help families brighten their Christmas after a very tough 12 months," Exies general manager, Garry Tucker said.
"The Griffith community supports many charity initiatives and Brad has been able to encourage many local businesses to also jump on board. The response and support has been amazing so far."
Mr Charles, along with three of his sons will visit areas around Griffith over three days leading up to Christmas and hand out gifts, something Mr Charles is hoping his sons learn from.
"I've had my ups and downs and now I'm in a stage of my life where I feel good and I just want to be a good role model for me kids," Mr Charles said.
"If my boys see me helping out, then hopefully it rubs off on them."
The tour will stop off at Yenda skate park at 5pm and Griffith Memorial Park at 6.30pm on Tuesday December 22. Darlington Point skate park from 5pm and City Park, Griffith at 6.30pm on Wednesday December 23.
