The Eagles headed into the decider as minor premiers, and after winning the toss and electing to bat, the Exies side would have been looking to make a strong start.
The opening bowlers from the Cougars had other ideas however with Thomas Camm (1/9) striking in the first over to remove Mason Ashcroft (2) while Jake Rand dismissed Zac Dart (2) in the following over.
The troubles continued for the Eagles with Rand (2/2) removing Taine Moraschi (0) in his second over leaving Billy Evans and Sean Culgan with the tough task of trying to rebuild their side's innings.
The fourth-wicket pairing was able to get their side to 40 before Ben Wood started what would prove to be a match-deciding spell.
In the space of three overs, Wood (5/11) was able to take five wickets as Exies lost 7/16 with Bohdy Martyn (2/2) picking up the two final wickets to see the Eagles bowled out for 56 in 15 overs.
If the Eagles were to have any chance of defending their total they would need to take early wickets.
Martyn and Mark Bennett were able to get their side to 10 before Bennett (1) was dismissed by Jacob Testoni (1/13) while Martyn (9) followed closely behind when he was run out by Ethan Inggs.
Thomas Camm and Ben Signor were able to get their side back on track and into a strong position.
Over the next five overs Camm and Signor were both able to make an impact on the scoreboard with a 20-run partnership before Camm (11) was trapped in front by Ashcroft (1/12).
Signor was joined by Harrison Steele out in the middle with plenty of time on their side as they required 24 runs to win off the remaining 65 deliveries.
It wasn't going to take the Cougars that long however with Steele deciding to take an aggressive approach to wrap the game up quickly.
Steele (20*) and Signor (11) got their side level before Signor was caught off the bowling of Sam Irvin (1/5).
The game would only require one further delivery with a wide handing Coro a six-wicket win with 7.2 overs still left in hand.
