Verus Par is a true test of your handicap, and Gerry Cox passed with flying colours, carding the winning A Grade score of +3. He did not have it all his own way, Slim Cavanaugh also carded +3 but lost the countback.
John Harrison also finished in the black with a score of +2 to take out B Grade, one ahead of Graham Campbell on + on a countback over Steve Crowe.
The game held no terrors for Jim Shannon who trashed his handicap, carding the winning C Grade score of +7 for an easy win over Lance Poka on +3.

The weather served up much the same on Sunday, but 55 hardy souls turned out to contest a single stroke.
Trevor Richards fired 76 off the stick to take out A GRade on 67 nett, closely followed by Bryan Salvestro 80 scratch 68 nett.
Jason Price 69 nett, 86 off the stick won B Grade on a countback over Shannon Windle also 69 nett shooting 85.
Barry Northeast 68 nett, 68 scratch led the C Graders on a countback over Kevin Dodds 68 nett, 98 scratch on a countback over Darryl Waide 68 nett.
Bryan Salvestro won the 7th pin, David Kidd 11th.
Shannon Windle jammed his third into the cup for an Eagle Three on the ninth.
Vouchers went to 73 nett.
The veterans played a single stableford in two grades last Thursday with 31 players.
Dom Guglielmino 38 points won Div.1 ahead of Alan Le Brocque 37 points on a countback over Jim Dickie 37 points.
Keith Woodbridge 36 points was best in Div.2 one ahead of Cam Woodside 35 points.
Doug McWilliam won the 7th pin, Jim Dickie 11th, Mick Catanzariti 16th; Vouchers went to 32 points.
The veterans revived the Cudmore-Williams Trophy this week. The First Round was played a Leeton last Monday. The Second Round will be at Griffith on Thursday, December 10. Shotgun start followed by lunch.
