An important piece of Yenda's history has sold after many years of financial struggle. The Yenda Diggers Club building was purchased by an investor with the future of the club being discussed between the new owner and Yenda Diggers Club directors.

The new owner is looking to ensure the Yenda Diggers Club continues into the future, however there are some details which are yet to be finalised.
The original building, which consisted of a small room with a chimney and fireplace was built by members of the Yenda RSL Sub-branch which was to form the meeting place for the various small Yenda associations and for two years, the Yenda primary school.
The club is seen as an important part of Yenda community history being the home of the Yenda Diggers Club for 82 years, but after many years of struggling to keep the doors open, the decision was made to sell the building and land.
The upcoming AGM for the club will be held Tuesday November 24 at the Yenda Diggers from 7.30pm to discuss the club's future and important changes to the club constitution.
John Strano, president of the Yenda Diggers Club encouraged as many club members as possible to attend.
"There will be a vote on constitutional changes so if members could come along that'd be great," Mr Strano said.
