To entice the community back to the big screen, they have collaborated with 2MIA FM to discuss the top movies of the week and give away free tickets to their listeners.
During the Morning Music Marathon at 10am on Thursdays, Griffith local John Knight will chat on the air about his favourite flicks now showing.
"We are thrilled we're coming back and the cinema complex is one of the best in New South Wales," Mr Knight said.
"It obtains the new movie releases as quickly as the metropolitan cities do, which is to their credit.
"I'll be bringing the new movies of the week, which are absolutely fantastic and I'm really looking forward to it."
The star entertainment venue located on the corner of Watkins Avenue and Kidman Way is glad to be back in action, operating under social distancing guidelines to ensure complete safety for patrons.
Many Hollywood hits are gracing cinema screens right now, with John Knight eager to discuss these great films over MIA airwaves.
"I've found the current virus like a bad dream, but in actual fact it's a reality," Mr Knight said.
"I've found there are two ways that you can get some relief, one is to go to a movie and the other is music.
"I saw three movies in five days last week and I'll tell you what, they were all excellent."
If you would like to hear about the movie of the week and be in the chance to win free tickets to Griffith City Cinemas, tune in to 2MIA FM at 10am on Thursday mornings.
If you would like to book your seat and see the latest Hollywood hits, visit the Griffith City Cinema website.
"We've taken all the precautions out there to keep the virus out, the virus won't be attending the movies at all," Mr Knight added.
"The inspectors have been out there and have the highest praise for the family complex, very impressed with all the necessities in place."
