Broome's first appearance for Junee was a short one after picking up an injury concern in the 28-18 loss to Young on Sunday.
Broome was the latest new face at the club after joining Ben Jeffery in travelling from Griffith to play and also joins West Wyalong co-coaches Jake Goodwin and Tim Dore.
Starting in the centres, Broome is another welcome addition to the side.
"He is a really handy addition and we were short in the outside backs so he is a huge bonus," Diesels coach Trent Schubach said.
Schubach thought there were plenty of positives after a late influx of players.
With the bye this week, he hopes it will give the team to settle more after conceding the last 24 points of the game.
"It is something to work on and once we get a few training runs together and a bit more fitness I think we will go a long way," he said.
"I think the bye is going to work in well for us as we've got a couple of injuries so we can rest them up, get a bit more fitness and contact into the bodies and be ready to go for round three."
Tim Dore also struggled with a finger issue.
