The final of the Lowes Petroleum 4 BBB Championship was played last weekend at the Griffith Golf Club and in a tight match, Tim Watson and Andy Arnold clinched the title against Mike Schwarz and Ross Grieve after one extra hole.

Watson and Arnold were two down after nine holes but rallied to square the match on the 18th and then won the extra hole.
Saturday was a single stableford and the first round of the Area Builders with 77 players contesting the event despite the threatening skies.
Wayne Bottcher 38 points won A Grade on a countback over Martin Sweeney. Daniel Dossetor continued on his winning way, easily winning B Grade with 44 points and is also the first round leader of the Area Builders.
Ian Carney 38 points won C Grade on a countback over Peter Jones. Vouchers to 33 points.
The ladies played a 4 BBB stableford which was also the qualifier for their match play. Robin Hoare and Mary Gifford combined to win with 48 points. Lesley Bock and Val Browne second 46 points. Vouchers to 43 points.
Another single stableford with 38 players. Scott Turner 38 points won A Grade from Ryan Harrison. Terry Bennett 37 points won B Grade over Geoff Cotterill 36 points on a countback over Rob Trembath 36 points. Andrew Oates 40 points best in C Grade over Garry Argus and Barry Northeast. Vouchers to 29 points.
The event last Wednesday was a Two-Person Ambrose with over 50 players.
James Lethlean and Terry Bennett combined for the winning score of 61nett. In second place were Tony Catanzariti and Dom Guglielmino 64 nett and third were Ngarau Noa and Travis Payne 66 1/2 nett. Vouchers to 69 nett on a countback.
The ladies played a single stableford last Wednesday. Bruna Ross 36 points won Div. 1 on a countback over Yvonne Couper 36 points on a countback over Katy King.
Pat Pauling 35 points best in Div.2 also on a countback over Robyn Hoare. Vouchers to 29 points.
The veteran's event last Thursday was a single stableford and the 5th round of the Winter Cup.
Mike Catanzariti 36 points won Div 1 over Rob Trembath 35 points. Div 2 won by Joe Cudmore 36 points on a countback over James Browne. Garnett Reade 39 points best in Div 3 from Craig McIvor 38 points. Vouchers to 32 points.
