Peter Pan Kidz owner Robyn Polkinghorne has re-opened the doors this week.

The store hasn't returned to regular hours just yet, but is open 10am to 2pm on weekdays, and from 10am to midday on weekends.

"We're seeing what happens in the next few weeks," Mrs Polkinghorne said.

While they may only recently re-opened the doors of their Griffith shop, their online store remained busy.

"We've had the online store for a while. It's being doing reasonably well but we didn't have much of a choice," Mrs Polkinghorne said.

"Before we had a lot of online sales from all over Australia, WA, SA and Victoria.

"But now local business has picked up. It's still not busy like it used to be."

Hip Digs has a strict policy of only two people in the store at any one time.

"We're taking it step by step, we started the Wednesday before Mother's Day and it worked well," Luisa Nardi said.

Ms Nardi said the store's website had brought the shopping experience into customer's homes.

"It's really helpful for the people who are staying at home, they can browse and see what's available."

She said people had gone to efforts to continue to shop local where they could.

"We appreciate the community support."
